Additional information

Please read to avoid confusion or any disappointment!

 

Allocation of Rooms and Trips

Rooms and trips will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. Some trips can only accommodate limited numbers and may be changed or cancelled if there are insufficient bookings.

 

Late Booking

Any rooms we do not fill will be released back to the hotel on the 10th September 2018. We will make every effort to accommodate anyone booking late and any bookings after this date will be treated on a first come first served basis.

 

Children’s Facilities

Please note that the children’s prices include child meals taken in a separate dining area on Friday and Saturday evenings. On Sunday evening, children will dine with the main group.  Depending on the number of children and ages of children attending, a crèche may be provided on Friday & Saturday evenings until parents have eaten so please advise us on the Booking Form if you require crèche facilities.

 

If you have more than 2 children requiring beds in your room or if a cot is required, please note this on your booking form, so this can be arranged with the hotel.

 

Late Arrival

If you anticipate arriving after 7.30pm on the Friday evening, please advise the secretary in advance so that a late meal can be arranged.

 

Cancellation & Travel Insurance

Should you have to cancel your booking, please let the secretary know by Monday 10th September, otherwise full payment may have to be forfeited.  We cannot guarantee return of your weekend fee in the event of cancellation, or indeed any other loss you may incur, therefore you should consider taking out the appropriate Travel Insurance.

 

Single Room Supplement

There is a single supplement of £25 per person per night for people requesting a single room. Unless requesting a single room, all members travelling alone will be allocated a twin room but may specify with whom they would like to share.

 

Extending your Stay at the Aberdeen Altens Hotel

If you wish to extend your stay, please contact the hotel directly on 01224 379 240 and mention that you are a delegate for the YFA Reunion.

 

Food Allergies

If you have any food allergies, please note this on your booking form so that arrangements can be made with the hotel.  They are set up to cater for special requirements but require advance notice to make plans with the kitchen.

 

Hotel Bar

No cash or card payments can be taken after 1am, so any purchases will have to be charged to your room. To be able to do this a credit/debit card must be pre-authorised at reception in advance or on check in.

 

Changes to the Programme

Please note that any changes to the programme will be notified on the reunion Facebook page.

Travelling to the 2018 Reunion

From the south, follow the A90 then take the A956 signed Aberdeen Harbour. At the first roundabout, take the third exit into Souterhead Road. The Aberdeen Altens Hotel is first on the right.

 

From the city, follow signs for the A90 south. At the Altens / Cove roundabout take the first exit onto Souterhead Road and the hotel is first on the right.

 

There are 300 on-site parking spaces available free of charge. SAT NAV: AB12 3LF

Aberdeen International airport is 10 miles from the hotel.

If you plan on travelling by bus, please check the website for the up to date timetable – the nearest bus stop, close to the hotel’s main entrance is on Wellington Road.

If you are travelling by air or train, please let us know your travel details and we will make arrangements to collect you from the airport or train station. 

Rainbow City Taxis is a local firm that can be contacted on 01224 87 87 87. If anyone requires a taxi whilst at the hotel, the reception team will be able to assist.
